The St Albans Striders Distance Training Runs are back with a difference and we need your help to make it happen

Sign up for running or volunteering below!

Runners

With an option of either 15 miles, or 20 miles on the 9th March, these distance training runs have been created to ensure runners of all abilities can join.

Whether you are preparing for a marathon or just trying to get your miles in, these runs provide an opportunity to explore a new and exciting route that showcases the beauty of the Alban Way and Mill Green.

This year, we are arranging ‘run leaders’ who will lead at a range of paces to ensure those that want to, can run in groups.

The majority of the route will be on the Alban Way where there will be other users including pedestrians and cyclists. For the safety of yourself and those around you, the use of headphones is not advised however, the use of bone conduction headphones is allowed, since these do not cover the ears or disrupt your awareness of sound around you.

We will have marshals and signage throughout the route to help you.

Runners: what to Bring:

  • Comfortable running gear
  • Hydration (water bottles, electrolyte drinks or pack)
  • Any energy gels/ snacks you will need
  • Bone conduction headphones (optional)
