18 Striders took part in the Buntingford Year End 10 race on New Year’s Eve.  Jonathan Scott was the 8^th runner to cross the finish line in an impressive time of 58.04, followed by Doug Hobson who finished in a 10 mile PB time of 1.03, Tim Searle (1.04) and Richard Evans, who also achieved a PB in 1.06. 

Penny Habbick was the first female Strider and first FV45 home in 1.07.  Habbick, together with Caroline Bailes and Judy Willits, took the female team prize.

Many Striders completed a parkrun ‘double’ on New Year’s Day, running two parkruns at 9.00 and 10.30.  Not content with running at Buntingford the previous day, Tim and Gemma Searle, Katie Bunting and Linda Cassidy completed Panshanger and St Albans parkruns, while Richard Evans ran at Gadebridge and St Albans.  Doug and Claire Hobson ran their 200^th and 100^th parkruns respectively at St Albans, together with Peter Blackaller who ran his 50^th. Magdalena Petrus achieved a PB for the St Albans course in 27.10.
