Several Striders ended the year in style across several races this weekend.

The popular Buntingford Year End 10 saw the biggest Striders turnout, with 17 completing the 10-mile course. Doug Hobson was the first Strider home in a personal best time of 1:01:29, finishing 16^th overall and 9^th in his category (senior male).

Nigel Aston (MV50), Stacey Harris (FV45), Karen Sheard (FV45), Caroline Bailes (FV45) and Rachel Dixon (MV35) also placed in the top 10 of their respective categories. Karen and Caroline also ran PBs, as did Katie Bunting, Rose McGinness and Julianne Nightingale.

Anna Buckingham, meanwhile, ran a personal best time of 1:31:03 on her way to winning the women’s half marathon at the Lee Valley Velo Park Races.

Running in somewhat testier conditions, Laura Lane completed the 50km Winter Cross Ultra in 5:50; besting the mud to knock 26 minutes off her time the previous year.

Finally, Colin Braybook, Deirdre Heydecker and Peter Blessing all ran in the Pednor International 10. Deirdre finished 2^nd in her category.
