Many large events were cancelled at the weekend. However, a few smaller races still took place. The prospect is looming of an empty racing calendar in the near future.

The Ashridge Boundary Run covered 16 muddy miles in the Chiltern Hills near Ashridge. Strider Joe Dunn finished a very creditable 7th in 1hour 59 minutes, 2 minutes ahead of Richard Evans, with Joe Weghofer and Mark Kennedy finishing in 2:04, Jordan Lister 2:06 and Nigel Aston 2:07. Anna Buckingham was 2nd lady finisher in 2:30.

Sadly the London Marathon has been postponed, but Ian Hirth finished the Gloucester 20 in 2hours 17. Lucy Jones and Stephen Eames ran the Milton Keynes 20-miler in 2:34 and 2:35 respectively. Peter Blessing followed along in 3:03.

Stephen Hosty was 15th overall in the Brentwood Half Marathon in a personal best time of 79:27.

Jamie Ingles completed 46.5 miles in the Fortitude 10 hour Ultra marathon.

Meanwhile in the Ashridge sprint duathlon (run, bike, run) Paul Adams won by 6 minutes in 1:09. Pat Higgins won the super sprint veteran 60 category in 1 hour exactly.
