2010 Race - 24th Jan 2010

The Fred Hughes 10 is a 10 mile road race run round St Albans in Hertfordshire. The 2010 race will take place on Sunday 24th January. Entries are closed and the race is sold out.

There will be a new route for 2010 (which actually follows an old route from many years ago). This will help congestion at the start and mean there are less road crossings.

N.B. This race is chip-timed. Race numbers & chips will be sent out, if you enter the race within the last couple of weeks, you should receive your number in the week before the race. If you have any questions about the race please call Roger Murray on 07504 647110

The school provides changing rooms, toilets and showers for both male and female participants. Kit can be left in the changing rooms or in the main gym but this is entirely at your own risk.

Drinks stations will be available along the route at approximately 2, 6 & 8 miles. Refreshments will be available for purchase after the race in the upstairs room of the sports hall.

Trophies to the category winners will be presented in the sports hall after the race. These will be awarded to the first 3 individuals in each of the following categories:

  • Male
  • Male veteran over 40
  • Male veteran over 50
  • Male veteran over 60
  • Female
  • Female veteran over 35
  • Female veteran over 45
  • Female veteran over 55.

In addition, there will be team trophies as follows:
  • Men: 1st team (4 per team)
  • Women: 1st team (4 per team)
