The Fred Hughes 10 mile race is run along pavements, country roads and The Alban Way to the North East of St. Albans. The 2007 race is on Sunday 21st January at 09:30.

The race headquarters is at Francis Bacon School (Drakes Drive, AL1 5AR) which is 250 meters from the race start. The school provides changing rooms, toilets and showers for both male and female participants. Kit can be left in the changing rooms or in the main gym but this is entirely at your own risk. Drinks stations will be available along the route at approximately 4 miles and 7.5 miles. Refreshments will be available for purchase after the race in the upstairs room of the sports hall.

Prizes to the category winners will be presented in the sports hall after the race. Prizes will be awarded to the first 3 individuals in each of the following categories:

Male, Male veteran over 40, Male veteran over 50, Male veteran over 60, Female, Female veteran over 35, Female veteran over 45, Female veteran over 55.

In addition, there will be team prizes as follows:
Men: 1st 3 teams (4 per team)
Women: 1st 3 teams (4 per team)
Mixed team: 1st only (4 men and 4 women)

Brief results showing the top 50 places and prize winners will be posted on the notice board on the day. Full results will be added to this website.
